Working at DOT
When I think about what I love most about my job, two things immediately come to mind: the amazing people I work with and the thrill of interacting with clients. It's like having the best of both worlds! Collaborating with my talented colleagues is not only inspiring but also pushes me to be the best version of myself. And let me tell you, nothing beats the satisfaction of delivering exceptional results and exceeding client expectations. It's the fuel that keeps me going, day in and day out.
What inspired me to join this team? Well, it's simple — familiar faces, incredible talent and opportunity to take more responsibility on leading projects and internal teams. When I saw the opportunity to work with people I already knew, who are not only super talented but also great to work with, I couldn't resist. Plus, being part of a "startup" within a big and talented company offers the perfect balance. We have the freedom to build something new, while also having the resources and potential to take on complex projects for top-notch clients.
I have a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Haaga Helia University of Applied Sciences. This education has equipped me with a strong business foundation, allowing me to merge my passion for technology with effective leadership and decision-making. Continuous learning is important to me, and I consistently seek opportunities for growth in all aspects of life.
Passions fuel my soul, both inside and outside of work. As a technical enthusiast, I thrive on unraveling the intricacies of coding and problem-solving. It's like a puzzle that I can't resist solving. And when I'm not immersed in my professional endeavors, you'll find me on thrilling adventures. Whether it's conquering challenging biking trails, capturing breathtaking landscapes through the lens of my camera, or indulging in culinary delights, I embrace every moment with a sense of wonder and curiosity.
Clocking out
Also I’d like to introduce you to the true center of my universe—the little whirlwind of joy known as my 8 year old daughter. She's the one who keeps me on my toes and reminds me of what truly matters in life (hint: it's not spreadsheets and meetings). I also embrace the fact that she apparently has not yet realized that I am quite a boomer but enjoys hanging out with me.
When it comes to superpowers, if I had the chance to choose one, I would undoubtedly go for teleportation. Imagine being able to instantly transport myself to any location. It would be a game-changer for exploring new places, saving time on travel, and seizing every moment.
Let's talk about my perfect weekend. Picture this: I'm embarking on a thrilling six-hour gravel bike tour, accompanied by a couple of close friends. The sun is shining, and the wind is in our hair as we explore new paths and conquer challenging terrains. It's the epitome of adventure and camaraderie, creating memories that last a lifetime. Now, as Sunday rolls around, I find solace and contentment in the simple pleasures of life. Picture me lounging on my balcony, lazily watching the potatoes in my garden buckets grow. It's a moment of tranquility, where time slows down and I can appreciate the beauty of nature.
Reminder of the day
There are no hidden surprises here, not even the fact I am afraid of spiders; what you see is what you get. I don't have issues talking about my personal life with colleagues and clients as I easily find them friends as well. Authenticity is key, and I believe in being true to myself and those around me. If my best friend were to describe me in three words, they would say I'm honest, open, and kind. These qualities define who I am as a person and how I approach my relationships. Authenticity, transparency, and empathy are at the core of everything I do, creating an environment where collaboration and connection thrive.
Reflecting on this year, the best thing that has happened to me is the opportunity to lead the delivery of complex technical projects. It's a testament to my skills and expertise, as well as the trust placed in me by my team and clients. Personal and professional growth have been the driving forces behind my journey, and I'm grateful for the chance to make a meaningful impact.
If I were to give advice to someone starting a new job, it would be this: Embrace failure. It may sound counterintuitive, but it's through failures that we truly learn and grow. So, don't be afraid to take risks, learn from your mistakes, and let each challenge become an opportunity for growth.
Now you know a little more about me. It's been a pleasure sharing my story with you, and I can't wait to continue this exciting journey together!
